121212 "Not Ashamed" Rally's

Romans 1:16 reads, "F
or I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes."

On December 12, 2012, Wednesday at 12:00 noon, a group of believers gathered together in Jackson, Mississippi, USA, in the Central Time Zone, and made a pledge together to Stand Up, Speak Out and Be Heard. The group consisted of a judge, medical personnel, local business men and women, and some very concerned souls. Their pledge? To overcome fear, political and religious correctness, timidity, and lack of obedience to the Word of God; and to fearlessly stand up for their faith in Jesus Christ, to speak out against what the Bible declares to be wrong while proclaiming what God's words declares to be right, and most of all to make sure, at any cost, to have the message of the kingdom of God be heard throughout the earth.

This small band also committed to return each year at the same time, December 12th at 12:00 noon to encourage and strengthen each other to keep their pledge and their vow to stand up, speak out and be heard. Now we realize that we should be doing this all year long. Nevertheless, we decided this yearly reminder would help us carry out our daily duty of faithfully being a 24/7 witness for Christ.

Join with us. You can do it. We are not trying to own it or control it. We simply want to see fellow believers break free and stand where they are, their cities, their churches, their schools, their businesses, their government, with their fellow believers, in their time zones, so that for one day during the 12th hour of our lives we show that we are not ashamed.

Organize with other Christian believers right where you are and let your stand for Christ be seen and heard. Rise up and proclaim your faith! Don't be pushed back, put down, or silenced any longer. Refuse to give into the pressure of the culture to disobey the great commission and call of God. It is time to stand boldly for God without fear and push back. Will you stand with those who name the name of Christ and declare your faith in Jesus regardless of the world's hatred for the Son of the Living God and our Savior? In John 15:18, Jesus pointed out that they hated him first. Marvel not that the world hates you for taking a stand for Jesus.

The task is simple and easy. You don't need to travel unless you want to. You can gather in homes, malls, schools, public squares, or anywhere you choose with like-minded believers and proclaim your faith together. Organize your friends, families, churches, companies, and anyone else to join with you in making your public proclamation for Jesus.

Join together in a world wide flash mob and proclaim together on December 12th at 12:00 noon, "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes."

My dear friends and family in Christ, please hear my heart and what I am about to share with you. We currently live in a time and a world where we as believers in Jesus Christ face some “Goliath” sized battles. And for many, the giants we face have a lot of people scared and undecided about the way to fight the battle. We live in a culture that daily pushes against everything we believe and stand for. Many of us have quit standing! Instead, we have given in to the pressure to “get along,” “coexist,” “be tolerant,” and “accept the unacceptable” and all in the name of “love.” Their favorite line, "How can a God of love..." while they know nothing about the love of God.

Personally, I have reached the point of no longer being able to tolerate the intolerable. I can no longer accept that which is considered politically or even religiously correct when it is contrary to my basic beliefs. I can no longer sit down, shut up, and coexist with ideologies that are completely opposite of what I know to be the truth based on God’s words. I cannot allow the misunderstandings, misinterpretations, and misrepresentations of the love of God be used as a weapon to force me into surrender.

I can however, by the power of God’s word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, step up and cross the line drawn in the sand at my feet. I can, do all things through Christ who strengths me. I can, stand up for Jesus and be undeterred, unashamed, and unsurprised by a world that hates me simply because it hates him. I can, ask anyone who names the name of Christ to stand with me in departing from the iniquity of fear, and to stand up, speak out, and be heard.

I understand what I am asking will cost some more than others. In some countries standing up for Jesus could cost some their lives and what little is left of their freedom. Even in America, the land of the free, standing up for Jesus can now present challenges that were never conceived of only a few years ago. We are witnessing a world that increases its intolerance and hatred for the gospel of Jesus Christ on a daily basis. This type of world is okay with religion and ideology that are willing to coexist. But if we stand on our most basic biblical principles we become public enemy # 1.

We have all heard it said, “If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.” Well friends, we appear to have fallen and I’m not sure how many of us can get up. This challenge, by dark design, to push Christians down into ungodly submission, will not end on its own. The challenge will have to be met. Generations of Christian believers before us have met the challenge many times over and were responsible for the very freedoms we have enjoyed to date.

Nevertheless, it is now our time to take up the cause and make the stand. Our generation now has the responsibility to pay the price for the continued freedom to exercise ones faith for generations to come. We do not want to be remembered as the generation that not only lost our faith, but also lost the right to exercise this faith for years of generations to come.

On December 3, 2011, I awakened in the early morning with a burden to increase my stand and commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I also felt compelled to encourage as many as possible to stand as well. Romans 1:16, reads, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes.”

The task is simple and uncomplicated. You don't have to travel anywhere unless you just want to. You can gather in homes, malls, schools, work places, public squares, or anywhere you choose, with like-minded believers and proclaim your faith together. Organize your friends, families, churches, companies, and anyone else to join with you in making your public proclamation for Jesus. Join together in a world-wide “flash mob” if you please and proclaim together on December 12 at 12:00 noon, "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes."

Organize with other Christian believers right where you are and let your stand for Christ be seen and heard. Rise up and proclaim your faith! Don't be pushed back, put down, or silenced any longer. Refuse to give into the pressure from the culture to disobey the great commission. I believe it is in fact the “great commission” given to every believer in Christ to fulfill that is actually the primary target of satanic attack. The enemy has worked at every turn to suppress and discourage believers from sharing their faith in Christ.

The truth of the matter is that we Christians outnumber all the groups throughout America and the rest of the world that have given all of their time and energy to shutting the Christian gospel down. They are the loud minority while we have settled for being the silent majority. It is time to stand for God - boldly, without fear, and push back. Will you stand with those who name the name of Christ and declare your faith in Jesus? Will you stand up, speak out and be heard regardless of the world's hatred for the Son of the Living God and our Savior? Remember in John 15:18, Jesus pointed out that the world hated him first so marvel not that the world hates you for taking a stand for Jesus.

Join together, organize yourselves, choose your gathering place, and on December 12th at 12 noon in your time zone, unite with fellow Christian believers all over the world for a 24 hour stand for Jesus.

Pass the word.

Do not fear!

Together in Christ,

Randall M. Mooney
